Green Leaf is one of 14 companies currently licensed to operate a marijuana growing operation in Maryland. It also holds a processing license, awarded by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission last year.
The company currently operates a 45,000-square-foot cultivation facility in Frederick and a processing lab in Bishopville. The operations produce cannabis flower and concentrate products under the "gLeaf" brand name.
The company also holds operating licenses in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and has two applications pending in Virginia. It also has interest in applying for a license in New Jersey.
To date, the company has reported 2018 revenue of $5.2 million. It is exploring an initial public offering or reverse takeover — a type of merger that would put the company into the public market — on the Canadian Stock Exchange.
