Emmett Vandergrift, a representative of Evergreen Curative Care LLC, a New Jersey-based medical marijuana organization, recently presented Lower Township Council with a request to consider supporting a medical marijuana dispensary in Lower Township. He said that his company would manage such a facility in partnership with Sea Hunter Capital Management.
According to Vandergrift, Sea Hunter is a national pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods company that operates in the United States cannabis industry. Vandergrift stated that his firm if licensed by the state to operate a facility, would create approximately 160 new full-time positions in the Dennis Township area.
He emphasized the hiring of veterans, women and local residents. The firm plans to build five to six greenhouses on a 30-acre plot to produce the cannabis that would be processed for medical purposes if approved.
