Freehold's medical cannabis dispensary now has the OK to sell recreational cannabis products, the owners announced.
Monmouth Wellness and Healing, operator of the NJ Leaf retail cannabis dispensary in Freehold, was awarded an adult-use cannabis license by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission at the Commission’s meeting on June 1.
This license will allow the dispensary to expand beyond medical cannabis sales and welcome adult-use customers aged 21 and above, the dispensary says.

During a Hamilton Township Planning Board meeting Thursday, members gave the green light to a cannabis cultivation and manufacturing business and, separately, a cannabis testing laboratory within an existing building.
The first planning board approval went to Herb-a-More, who intends to turn the existing 51,374-square-foot building on a three-acre lot on 1218 Walnut Avenue that will not be open to the public. It will be a cannabis cultivation and manufacturing business, said Dino Spadaccini, an attorney representing the company.

Cuzzie's LLC seeks Council support for its license application to open a store at the One Market Street apartment complex.
The company received its conditional retail license from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission last July and would be operated by Joshua Evans of Sicklerville, according to the commission. The other owner would be Lemar Boone, according to the Camden Cannabis Committee's report to Council.
"This company has the financial wherewithal to support this cannabis business," the committee told Council.
