Nearly $79.7 million in total sales of recreational marijuana was recorded between April 21 and June 30, the end of the second fiscal quarter, according to the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission and state Treasury Department.

Adult-use marijuana retailers in Maine sold $94,643.38 worth of product on Oct. 9, the first day of legal sales in the state, according to preliminary figures released Monday by the state’s Office of Marijuana Policy (OMP).
Total sales for the long weekend – Friday through Monday – were $258,411.58 across 6,430 transactions, the OMP said in an update Tuesday afternoon.
Maine had eight active adult-use retail licenses when sales began, the OMP noted.
However, the regulator said only six retail stores were actually open on the first day of sales.
