The plodding process to grant Montclair licenses in the expanding cannabis industry received a push forward this week when the Township Council gave its approval to a fledgling cultivation company, Genuine Grow.
Two proposed cannabis businesses in Montclair saw big milestones at council and planning board meetings this week, and they’re both located in the same building: TLEHL Inc. and Genuine Grow.
The Montclair Planning Board gathered for a public meeting on Monday, April 24 to discuss several items, including a cannabis-related application from TLEHL Inc. for a manufacturing facility at 154 Pine Street.
Andrew Marshall, the young entrepreneur behind the cannabis-growing enterprise, testified with his attorney Kelly Carey at the beginning of the hearing. He explained that he is planning a “micro-cannabis” cultivating facility that conforms with state Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) rules.
A proposed marijuana business in Montclair took a leap forward on Monday when the planning board granted it a conditional use permit as a cannabis cultivator.
