East Brunswick Council Just Says No to Marijuana (For Now, Anyway)
In the 2020 election, nearly 70% of East Brunswick residents voted in favor of the legalization of marijuana. Yet, this overwhelming victory has led to an underwhelming result. On Monday, the Township Council voted 3-2 against opening any form of marijuana distributorship in East Brunswick.
Presented with six options regarding cannabis - cultivation, manufacturing, wholesale, distributing, retail sales, delivery services - East Brunswick will have none. At least right now. How could this have happened?
