Hoboken Tightens City Codes Regarding Cannabis Businesses, Smoking In Parks
As Hoboken continues to consider applications for retail marijuana shops in the city, officials are taking steps to tighten up regulations related to cannabis consumption.
On Wednesday, the City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance that expands the smoking ban in all parks to include marijuana, e-cigarettes, vaping devices and tobacco.
Previously, the code just prohibited tobacco use, but Corporation Counsel Brian Aloia said the change was made to clarify that cannabis and vapes are also among the banned substances.
