The Township of Bloomfield Municipal Alliance Committee, which is part of the Department of Human Services, is excited to announce they are partnering with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT) to hold a virtual Cannabis Town Hall on March 14, at 7:30 PM. The event will open with remarks by Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia and include information from panelists regarding the myths about cannabis use, legalization, methods of use, risks of occasional and regular use, and prevention strategies, including subtitles in Spanish. Speakers will include Christine Colombrita, Substance Use & Prevention Program Coordinator at Bloomfield High School, as well as ADAPT Coordinator Jessica Delgado.
“As the legalization of cannabis continues to evolve across our nation, it is essential that our residents are provided with the most up-to-date and accurate information as possible," said Mayor Venezia. “This virtual Town Hall is a safe and judgment free forum that will raise awareness and help educate our community, and all are invited to attend.”
