A second adult-use cannabis dispensary gained Hoboken Planning Board approval Thursday night.
The store called Jersey Joint would be located in the northwestern section of the city, representing a different business approach than the approved dispensary for Washington Street and the medical-use facilities planned near the Hoboken Terminal.
After the unanimous vote, Jersey Joint now only needs the City Council to sign off before it heads to the state for approval.
Jersey Joint follows Blue Violets, approved last month, as the second adult-use dispensary in Hoboken to get this far. They also both gained approval in a single planning board meeting, a stark contrast to the Story Dispensary, whose application will be debated for the fifth time at a November meeting.
