New Jersey’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission approved five new recreational dispensaries last week. The Apothecarium in Lodi, Ascend in Montclair, and Garden State Dispensary locations in Eatontown, Woodbridge and Union were approved to expand from medicinal to recreational sales.
There’s no set date for when these new locations will be open to sell recreational cannabis, as they still have to complete a few more steps in their process.
Last month, the commission approved 13 locations and sales began on April 21. Those locations are open for both medicinal and recreational sales. You can find them on the map below along with the locations that could open in the coming weeks.
About $24 million in sales were recorded in the first month of New Jersey’s recreational cannabis market, according to the CRC. State law requires 70% of the tax collected from recreational cannabis sales to go toward communities most harmed by marijuana-related arrests.
