Entrepreneurs who want to set up a cannabis-based business in Collingswood will have to pay the borough a $2,500 non-refundable application fee, according to an ordinance adopted at a recent Collingswood Borough Commissioners Meeting.
This fee will cover the costs associated with the borough looking into providing what the State of New Jersey's Cannabis Regulatory Commission calls "proof of local support," the ordinance states.
This "proof of local support" consists of, among other things, the borough providing the license applicant's legal name under which they are registered to do business within the Garden State, according to the Cannabis Regulatory Commission's website.
