Princeton's Cannabis Task Force (CTF) hopes to present its recommendation and report to the council and public at a special meeting on Nov. 30, Councilwoman Eve Niedergang, chair of the CTF said during Monday's Council meeting.
As reported earlier by Patch, CTF will draft recommendations for an opt-in ordinance. The ordinance will be or retail only.
"We had a very productive meeting last week, but we still have a long way to go," Niedergang said.
The CTF will be meeting again this Thursday and will know by the end of the meeting id the "Nov.30 goal is achievable."
The CTF has earlier identified six potential zones for a possible cannabis dispensary in the future — The Central Business District, Jugtown, Witherspoon North, 206 North, Princeton Shopping Center, and the Dinky area (south).
