What could marijuana legalization mean for the Garden State’s economy and especially for young people looking to launch a career in the emerging industry?
On Monday, April 29th, Stockton University will host a discussion on the future of legal cannabis and its effects on New Jersey’s economy. With pending legislation to legalize the adult use of cannabis and greatly expand the existing medical cannabis program, a panel of student leaders, industry experts and local area workers will share insights on how cannabis can be a driver for local economic development, and discuss the tens of thousands of jobs the industry will create (and Stockton University students are preparing to fill).
The event is sponsored by the Stockton University chapter of Students Organizing for Marijuana Research and Transparency (SMART), Weedmaps, the Compassionate Care Foundation and the New Jersey Cannabis Industry Association.
