The panel, moderated by Connell Foley partner George Garcia, included Bert Steinmann, mayor of Ewing Township; Tara Sargente, CEO & founder of Blazin’ Bakery; Charles Latini, Latini & Gletiz Planning principal; William Maer, Public Strategies Impact senior partner; and Zahind Quraishi, Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti partner.
Quraishi advised potential applicants to closely study Part A and B of the recent RFA and understand what’s needed to complete each part.
“Start thinking about those pieces now,” he said. “Presume that what’s already being requested in this last round are things you need to start working before the next round comes out. The application is not just plugging in information, if you don’t have the legwork done in advance …”
Maer added, “Make sure you understand the rules at that moment, but be prepared for things to change. It’s government.”
