A recreational dispensary officially has Hoboken Planning Board approval — and it’s not the one that has had hearings on three separate occasions.
Blue Violets, proposed for 628 Washington St., was approved by unanimous vote Thursday night at its first and only public hearing, proved that dispensaries can make it through Planning Board approval within a few hours.
The relatively fast approval is in contrast to the marathon hearings for Story Dispensary, planned for 14th and Hudson streets, which have taken up three meetings already, mostly because of questions and opinions from concerned neighbors and their attorney.
“We’re so happy, more than words can describe!” co-owner Max Thompson said in an email. “This has been such a tough process, but we’re hopeful it’ll be smoother from here.”
