More towns took a stand or plan to take a stand against marijuana.
The Freehold Township Committee voted unanimously to bar all sales of marijuana in the township, the Asbury Park Press reported. The ban included medical marijuana in addition to recreational.
The ordinance “prohibits retail or wholesale establishments, businesses, persons or entities to sell or offer to sell marijuana or marijuana products, for medicinal or recreational use, or paraphernalia that facilitates the use of marijuana and further prohibits the growing, cultivation or harvesting of any type of marijuana plant within the Township.”
