Residents of a section of one Gloucester County town showed up and spoke up at a community meeting that centered on a proposal to put a medical marijuana facility in their neighborhood.
The State of New Jersey could approve a license for a dispensary in the Bridgeport section of Logan Township, just off the road from the township Dr. Andrew Medvedovsky is one of those applying for this permit.
“Everybody here tonight, we agree on one thing,” he said. “The way you look at it, from a medicinal standpoint, no one here is advocating for a bunch of stoners to be outside and smoking joints.”
Most of those asking questions centered on security concerns and the fear that, if the state were to approve recreational marijuana, this proposed facility could expand. Not without state and local approval, according to proponents.
