The Green, where Gen. George Washington's troops once trod, will be the site of an educational medical marijuana forum on Oct. 20.
The free event will be the second held on the Green by the nonprofit Coalition for Medical Marijuana-NJ, Inc. Its volunteers will pass out literature, sell T-shirts and educate the public on medical marijuana's use to curb pain, said executive Director Ken Wolski.
The event, "Green on the Morristown Green," will run from noon to 6 p.m. The last forum was held in August and attracted a steady stream of passersby. It also raised $83 for the coalition, Wolski said.
The coalition, founded in 2003 to advocate for legalization of medical marijuana, now supports full legalization for recreational use, he said.
